Geelong Waterfront Greek Restaurant
So, I was browsing the internet (as per usual) and stumbled upon some pictures of Geelong's waterfront. Let me tell you, these pictures had me cracking up. Not because they were particularly funny, but because they reminded me of some hilarious situations I've been in at the waterfront.

Doesn't this picture just scream "fancy"? I mean, come on, the name of the place is "Terroir". I don't even know what that means, but it sounds expensive. I can just imagine the old fashioned rich people hanging out here, sipping on wine and pretending to understand the menu. Meanwhile, I'll be on the other side of the street eating a hotdog from a food truck.

This one cracks me up because it's like they're trying to scare us into not going to the waterfront. "The operators fear Safe!" Well, buddy, I fear spiders but that doesn't stop me from going outside. Plus, I've been on a ride with Geelong Helicopters before and let me tell you, it wasn't that scary. Mostly, it was just trying to get a good selfie with my hair blowing in the wind.

This picture has me laughing because it looks like they're trying to be artsy. "Oh, let's take a picture of the water with these rocks in the foreground. It'll be so deep and meaningful." In reality, it's just a bunch of rocks and some water. I could take this same picture with my iPhone camera and it would look the same.

Finally, we have the fanciest of them all. The WATERFRONT RESTAURANT AT NOVOTEL GEELONG Updated 2022 Restaurant. That's a mouthful. I can just imagine the prices on this menu. If you wanna spend your entire week's paycheck on a meal, this is the place to go. Meanwhile, I'll be at the fish and chip shop down the road, spending $10 on a meal that actually fills me up.
So, there you have it. Some pictures of Geelong's waterfront and my hilarious commentary on them. If you're ever in Geelong, be sure to check out the fancy restaurants and expensive helicopter rides. But if you're like me and would rather spend your money on something a little more practical, the food trucks and fish and chip shops are the way to go.
